Level 2

In Level 2, students undergo a significant advancement in ballet skills, fostering a more profound grasp of the art form. Level 2 is carefully structured to escalate the intricacies of footwork, enhance stability, and strengthen legs, building upon Level 1 exercises with greater intensity and quicker pacing. A milestone in a ballet student's progression, the introduction to pointe work adds a layer of complexity and grace to their performance. Beyond physical prowess, students also develop discipline, persistence, and polished artistic expression.

The curriculum covers a broad spectrum of movements and techniques. Students are introduced to more advanced poses within exercises, both at the barre and in the centre, which challenges their ability to coordinate their arms and legs. The allegro section progresses students from individual jumps learned in Level 1 to combined simple sequences, while integration of hand positions en pointe at the centre introduces an extra layer of complexity. A part of each lesson is devoted to rehearsing choreographic compositions.
